ENHYPEN is a South Korean K-pop boy group formed by a joint label HYBE and CJ E&M Entertainment. The group was carved from the final 7 members of the survival show known as I-LAND. ENHYPEN debuted on 30 November 2020 with the mini-album “BORDER: DAY ONE” and title track “Given-Taken”. Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Jungwon, and Ni-ki are current members. What Is The Meaning of ENHYPEN?
Enhypen was derived from the hyphen symbol (-) which represents “Connection, Discovery, & Growth”. So, the group’s name simply aims “to come together to connect, discover and grow together to form a new act”.

Jungwon
Jungwon was born Yang Jung Won on 9 February 2004. He ranked 1st in the final episode with 1,417,620 votes. Jungwon was a student of Namgang High School and Hanlim Multi Art School. Also, he is a former SM Entertainment (2017-2018) and BigHit Entertainment (2018-2019) trainee.
Heeseung
Heeseung was born Lee Hee Seung on 15 October 2001 in Uiwang, South Korea. He ranked 5th in the final episode of I-LAND with 1,137,323 votes. Heeseung graduated from Gwangnam High School.
Jay
Jay’s real name is Park Jong Seong. He was born on 20 April 2002 in Seattle, Washington, U.S but moved to Korea when he was 9 years old. Jay is the only son of his parents. He ranked 2nd in the final episode of I-LAND with 1,182,889 votes.
Jake
Jake was born on 15 November 2002 in South Korea but raised in Australia since he was nine years old. He ranked 3rd on the final episode of I-LAND with 1,179,633 votes. His real name is Sim Jae Yun.
Sunghoon
Park Sung Hoon was born on 8 December 2002 in Namyangju, Gyeonggi, South Korea. He was a former BigHit Entertainment trainee. Sunghoon ranked 6th on the final episode with 1,088,413 votes. He was a two-time national junior silver medalist who represented South Korea in various international competitions.
Sunoo
Kim Seon Woo was born on 24 June 2003 in Suwon, Gyeonggi, South Korea. He is not only a gifted artist but has a black belt in hapkido too. Sunoo placed 8th in the final episode with 935,771 votes but was the producer’s choice to debut. Kim had his education at Chilbo Middle School, Chilbo High School, and Hanlim Arts High School.
Ni-ki
Nishimura Riki is the youngest in the group. He was born on 9 December 2005 in Okayama, Japan.
